Director of Marketing

VIRTUALhaus is looking to hire a marketing mastermind to support go-to-market strategy and execution for our product launch.


VIRTUALhaus is a 100% remote startup, building a 3D visualization and ecommerce platform for enterprise companies in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. As we need to closely guard our product until release and are currently in stealth mode, you will be able to find out more about what we are building during the interview process.

You are a driven, creative, and agile marketing master looking for an opportunity to build and execute the marketing strategy for an industry-disrupting startup. VIRTUALhaus is looking to hire a marketing mastermind to support go-to-market strategy and execution for our product launch. The Marketing Director will work closely with the Chief of Staff and CEO to develop and execute a strategy for product marketing, lead generation, online campaigns, paid media, email campaigns, and managing marketing vendors. Through your strong interpersonal skills/EQ, you have the ability to manage up, down, and laterally and collaborate and build relationships across the business. This role is ideal for someone who seeks the excitement of an early-stage startup and strives for a marketing leadership position in the future. Success in this role means sidestepping the usual career ladder and getting a front-row seat to the art and craft of launching a company. Since VIRTUALhaus is a “remote first” company, you can be based anywhere within the EST-PST time zones. Some travel (once per quarter) may be required.

  • Complete VIRTUALhaus’ onboarding program and get familiar with our organizational structure, tools, business model, and strategy. You’ll meet the team and learn the nuts and bolts of the business, our history, and where we’re going.
  • Deep Dive into the technology we use, how we use it, and assess our processes.
  • Become familiar with our organizational goals and begin thinking about the next quarter’s marketing strategy.
  • Identify vendors and new technologies that will support our marketing efforts.
  • Become familiar with our brand and suggest new ideas or provide feedback for improvement of the brand position and messaging.
  • Develop a plan and strategy for transitioning the company out of stealth mode, including paid media, online campaigns, and email marketing.


  • Take full control of the company website and social media accounts, including coordinating the production of new content for these channels.  
  • Review and revise our company brand standards and create internal documentation to align all team members to the company’s brand message.
  • Create cohesive materials that communicate our positioning, messaging, and buyer personas to be used in sales and fundraising efforts.
  • Manage the development of best-in-class product marketing materials for prospects and customer education.
  • Conduct market research to further our learning about the industry’s competitive landscape and what our target customers want.


  • Create monthly reports using data analytics and marketing performance metrics to present to the leadership team and investors.
  • Communicate a plan to improve our performance marketing (i.e. you know the tools and methods for optimizing campaigns with data, split testing, channel optimization, etc.)
  • Collaborate with agencies to oversee creative processes ensuring outcomes of amazing creative assets that reflect the revolutionary technology behind VIRTUALhaus.
  • Create marketing OKRs and a corresponding budget for the rest of the year.
  • Understand and plan for the future needs of the marketing organization (i.e. hiring).
  • Further develop our brand identity & guidelines.


  • Manage and execute campaigns with knowledge of all marketing channels, ensuring alignment across organic social, PR, community events, email, growth marketing, and CX.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring, as a way to influence team growth and how our values inform our culture.
  • Give the CEO and other execs feedback in real-time. You will not be afraid to share your opinion and engage in a debate.
